The Supervisor is an important role within the store which helps the Manager with the running of the store. You will be in charge of running the day when the manager is not present, and will be required to open and close the store on a day-to-day basis. You will be confident in handling transactions and cashing up at the end of the day, and will also have a sound knowledge of weekly banking procedures. As a senior member of staff, you should have excellent customer service skills, and will work to gain a fantastic understanding of our products.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Securely opening and closing of the store and following store opening and closing procedures.
- Confidently setting up the tills in the morning and closing them in the evening.
- Being an approachable and friendly colleague instore.
- Delegating tasks to colleagues to ensure workload is fairly shared.
- Approaching customers and guiding them through their barefoot journey: The Supervisor should have a fantastic knowledge of store product and be able to communicate this information well to our customers.
- Processing regular and faulty customer returns.
- Dealing with customer complaints.
- Accurately completing daily cash-up procedures and also sharing the weekly banking responsibilities with other senior members of staff instore.
- Ensuring that as a team the store (shop floor and back of house) is kept clean and presentable.
- Making sure that the stockroom is kept clear of any mess and ensuring that all shoeboxes are stored neatly and correctly.
- Assisting with deliveries (counting in shoe boxes and allocating them to their correct space in the stockroom, and ensuring that all pairs match the delivery notes).
- Ensuring any issues are reported to the manager in a timely manner.
ALL ABOUT YOU
- Experience of working in a Store as a Supervisor or senior member of the team.
- You'll be looking for full time work in a retail environment and will be able to work on any day as you'll share a rota.
- You'll have demonstrable experience in having responsibility in store and ensuring that your colleagues are acting appropriately and completing their respective duties.
- Clear communication style with both colleagues and customers.
- Accurate cash-handling skills.
- Friendly and approachable, and understanding of conflict management to ensure a happy and respectful work environment.
- Basic understanding of Excel to complete daily and weekly cashing-up procedures.
- Understanding of basic health and safety regulations.
- Able confidently delegate tasks to ensure the smooth running of the store.
- Interest in fitness and health and wellness is ideal.
- Happy to travel to other stores and events where needed.
