Head of Financial Control - Maternity Contract

To help us keep the mission alive whilst our Head of Financial Control is on maternity leave, we’re looking for someone to fill her shoes (barefoot ones of course) for the next year.
As an experienced Head of Financial Control, you will have full accountability for Vivobarefoot's Financial Control agenda:

Developing and supporting the Financial Control team to reach their collective and individual potential
- Lead and mentor the Financial Control team, promoting a culture of excellence, continuous improvement, and professional development
- Regular review of individual and team objectives, ensuring alignment to Company plan
A ROBUST AND DYNAMIC CONTROL ENVIRONMENT
Embedding the fundamentals of best-practice financial control, providing Vivo with the roots to grow and thrive as a sustainable business and force for good in the world.
- Ensure general ledger integrity through the design, operation and maintenance of key financial controls
- Oversee management accounts preparation and continue to advance the quality of analysis and insight provided with the monthly results
- Oversee cash flow management and ensure adequate short term and long term liquidity to support operational and strategic goals
- Enhance reporting around free cashflow and working capital cycle and deliver actionable insight to the business to improve cashflow generation
- Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and control of Vivo’s overhead cost base and capital expenditure
- Ensure all of Vivo’s tax and statutory obligations are discharged accurately, on time, and in full, including owning the relationship with Vivo’s external tax consultant
- Lead the annual statutory audit process and own the relationship with Vivo’s external auditors
- Partner with the Commercial Finance team to facilitate enhancements to management reporting, e.g. review of accounting policies
BRILLIANT SYSTEMS AND PROCESSES
Enhancing the quality, efficiency, and value of our financial systems and processes
- Constantly seek out new opportunities to optimise and automate manual financial processes and ensure delivery of key automation projects identified
- Embrace new technologies (i.e. AI) and play a leading role in this agenda
- In partnership with Vivo’s Business Systems team, ensure Vivo’s ERP system (NetSuite) evolves to sustain Vivo’s scale
- Act as the Financial Control representative and lead for ad-hoc projects and key business initiatives (e.g. multi-local warehouse, international legal entities) ensuring system, process and compliance considerations are scoped and fulfilled
ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Ensuring the accurate and timely reporting of financial performance
- Embedding and maintaining an effective control environment
- Effectively managing Vivo’s cash and debt position
- Supporting the business in carefully and flexibly managing cost
- Ensure financial systems and processes are efficient, fit for purpose and supporting growth
- Ensure Vivo adheres to relevant accounting standards and all financial and taxation statutory requirements
ALL ABOUT YOU
- ACCA/ACA/CIMA qualified
- Available for maternity contract
- 5+ years post-qualified financial control experience in a comparable industry and business size
- A demonstrable track record in people leadership and development
- Excellent organisational skills and agility
- You exercise sound judgment and apply critical thought to all situations
- Strong technical accounting skills
- You possess a keen interest in Regenerative Leadership and building future-fit businesses
